Calling all Beer Judges (or wanna-be Beer Judges!)
We're looking for a few good tasters.
The Upper Mississippi Mash-Out Beer, Mead and Cider Competition needs you!
We will be doing two sessions of judging on Saturday, April 27 at 3pm and
7pm, and another session on Sunday, April 28 at 1:30pm. The location is
Harwell's Steak House and Brewery in Shakopee. We have need of
BJCP-certified judges, but you are welcome to help if you would like to
learn how to judge - inexperienced judges will be teamed with Certified
judges.
This is the first year of this contest, cosponsored by the Minnesota Home
Brewers Association and the St.Paul Homebrew Club. Please help us to make
it a great success!

Greetings all,
Due to circumstances beyond my control I am selling my relatively new set of
extract brewing equipment...carboy, bottle tree, boiling/racking and
bottling equipment, books... the works.
The setup, with more than $210 invested, has been kept impeccably clean
(only two batches run through it since I purchased it in September of 2001).
Worth noting that both the Midwest Brown Ale the Wind River Imperial Stout
kits turned out fantastic...anyway I'm getting off the subject a bit. I
would like to sell the entire kit as a set, I have an EXCEL spreadsheet
which lists every piece of equipment I will be including. i am more than
happy to forward this list to anybody interested.
Please feel free to contact me also at << duxmad(a)hotmail.com >>, or in the
evenings at (952)249-0191. I need to sell the kit soon, will take the best
offer.
cheers,
Nate Maddux

Might be a good time to go to one of those gas stations where you drop off
your old empty propane tank (with the defunct valve) for a refilled one...
if you know what I mean... I USED to have several of those old-valve ones
too, now all my tanks are up-to-code....
