Here is a link that my cousin, who is working and living in Copenhagen, Denmark sent me about how the people from around the world are feeling about the WTC and pentagon attacks. It is all in pictures, except from where they are from

Well, I believe there were about 700 people who attended. We sold almost
as many day-of tickets as in-advance.
> Did you meet your goals?
A complicated question. Our main goal was to put on the best beer
festival this city has seen. If input from the people who I have talked
to and the brewers who participated count for anything, I think we
acheived that goal.
A minor goal would be making some money for the two sponsoring
organizations, the MCBG and the Downtown Council. We did not achieve
that goal. However, we didn't bankrupt the organizations either.
This brings us to individual goals of each organization. For the MCBG,
it was to show people that there are quite a few Minnesota breweries that
are making beer that can compete with any beer in the country. I say
this with the utmost sincerety. I've lived in Arizona, Oregon, and
California and I can tell you we *can* compete. Most places (like the
Pacific NW) just have been at it longer than we have.
The goal for the DTC is to promote downtown Minneapolis through events.
We put 700 people in downtown at 7PM on a Saturday night, so I think that
goal was achieved.
Finally, will we do it again? I'd say yes, but we'll have to see how the
DTC feels. I think it will grow at least two-fold next year. But we
need the support of the people of Minnesota to insure the event can
continue. It's a lot of work to put on the festival just to break even
(or less). The organizers from MCBG have full-time jobs. Paul Norton is
the National Director of Sales for Malt-O-Meal. I am trying to keep my
brewery running while juggling all the details required to pull off the
event. But, I guess I'd do it again, and I'm sure Paul would say the
same.
Well, that is probably a longer answer that you wanted or needed, but
there you have it.

I have created a new mailing list for the Minnesota Craft Brewer's Guild.
The list will provide information on upcoming Guild events, events at
our member's establishments, and whatever else we want to advertise. I
expect that it will be quite a low traffic list.
If you would like to be part of the mailing list, send an email to
majordomo(a)www.mncraftbrew.org
with "subscribe mcbg" in the body of the message (leave out the quotes!)
To unsubscribe, send "unsubscribe mcbg" in the body of the message.
Cheers!

I have one too. Not great but not bad. The northern brewer started out with excessive citrus flavor but has mellowed quite nicely. Let me know if you want to get together.

I have at least a 1/2 pound of Centennial whole hops in vacuum sealed bags
in the freezer if anyone wants 'em.

Yeah, Ralph Olson from HopUnion tells me there will definitely be a shortage
of Cascades this year . . . hoard now or substitute later.
As for "over the top" hopped beers, I've always been partial to Anchor
Liberty Ale which is reportedly made with "all Cascades." One only hopes
that Anchor has good contracts for their supply . . .

I'm pretty sure Mike was using Centennial hops in Paddy Pale. Possibly
also throwing in some Cascade. You may want to try experimenting with
Centennial as the 2001 Cascade crop was severely damaged by a 'freak'
hail storm back in June or July. Though I can't recall the exact
acreage it was in the thousands and one of my hop purveyors considered
the loss 'significant'.
