Thanks to all the Guild folks, participating brewers and participating beer drinkers who helped make the Autumn Brew Review a success--at least for St. Croix Beer. It was great meeting some of the brewers on the list, as well as the brewery reps from the "competition." The weather cooperated, the crowd seemed to be more beer-oriented rather than buzz-oriented, which hopefully will translate into more beer sales later instead of returning to old (bad) beer habits. The venue was nice as well--outdoors at Peavey Plaza. Best of all, there was some fine brew poured--and the Bigs were conspicuously absent. I came away a big fan of the Jackson Five (IPA) from Michigan, and the dubbel from Great Waters (is that cumin I tasted in there???).
Cheers to a successful first year (I hope) and many more to come.
