Do you know someone who wants to get started in homebrewing? Or do you see
some stuff on here that would supplement your own supplies? Make John an
offer! He wants to sell it whole, rather than piecemeal.
John - let us know when it's sold, so we can put up a post for people to
stop calling you.

Everything of mine was sanitized after each time I brewed and then put in
either a bag or box to keep the dust off of it.
I'm not looking to get retail prices for this stuff, but according to one
website I went to it would retail for over $450. It did make a heck of a
lot of good beer; I would like to get a little something for this stuff. I
realize some stuff ages better than others. Carboys can be kept, the tubing
could be scrapped, and the 12 oz bottles I can always take back to the beer
store and get my deposit for them. At this point, whoever wants to drive to
my house in St. Louis Park and make an offer ca! n have it. I would prefer
to get rid of it all at once, instead of splitting it up. I will be around
after 7:30 Wednesday night.

I was recently told by my doctor that I can no longer drink good beer or
even the store bought stuff, unless it has the letters L, I and T in the
title.
I had been a brewer for a number of years and I have aquired quite a bit of
equipment; carboys, bottle drying tree, etc. I stopped at Brew and Grow in
Fridley and asked how I could get get all this stuff to someone as opposed
to just throwing it out. They directed me to this website.
I don't know if you have people that look for used equipment (it is all
clean and sanitized), or if you have some other suggestions.
I will put together a list of what I all have. But I would appreciate it if
you have any ideas on what to do with the equipment that I have.
Thanks
John

MHBA Club Members,
As former president and long term MHBA member, it is with great pleasure
that I announce a community service event open to your participation.
Rather than overwhelm you with a bunch of trivia, I will gather the
details and submit them to club members via this message service and via
the Yahoo site. The clean up location will be along Shady Oak Road
between Excelsior and Minnetonka Blvd. This will allow after work
thirst quenching at a variety of Homebrewers and one Microbrewery
locations. We are committing for two years or four cleanup events.
More on this event as information becomes available.
Thanks in advance for your positive support.
BTW, we get our club name posted on a sign along the roadway.
Rick Oftel

MHBA Members,
Here is a chance to assist with a small stretch of highway cleanup.
According to previous responses, we have critical mass for this task and
our rewards, including free beer, will be having our club name erected
by the side of the road proclaiming the nice job we do.
Location: - Cty Rd 61 (Shady Oak Rd) from Cty Rd 3 (Excelsior Blvd) to
Cty Rd 5 (Minnetonka Blvd) in Hopkins/Minnetonka
OK to proceed?

Hello,
One of our newest homebrew club members, Justin Mishler, was on the bridge
when it collapsed. He is okay, but I think his back hurts a lot. Please
keep him in your thoughts, and Justin please know that we're here to help
with whatever you need. Maybe we can bring you some beer...
Justin, get well soon.

The Big Lake Brew Fest is Saturday September 22 at Wessman Arena in
Superior. If you've been there before, you know how fun it is.
We're looking for two things...
First, of course, is BEER. Right-click here to download pictures. To help
protect your privacy, Outlook prevented automatic download of this picture
from the Internet. <http://graphics.hotmail.com/i.p.emsmiled.gif> If
you're willing to bring some home brew to serve in our booth, we'd love to
have it. Here's what you do.
Send an e-mail to tsarne(a)msn.com indicating the beer you're bringing and a
brief description of the beer. Please do this by August 20th so we can plan
for you. If you were there last year, the homebrew booth was a big hit with
everyone, don't miss this chance to participate.
Second, and more fun, if you're willing to volunteer the evening of the
Brewfest send an e-mail to the same address. Volunteering gets you a
t-shirt and free admission to the event. Again, let me know b y August 15
if you want a spot volunteering. Right-click here to download pictures. To
help protect your privacy, Outlook prevented automatic download of this

I'll send more details to brewers and volunteers a little later.
Looking forward to hearing from you.

If you like mead with wild stuff, wild plums are ripening and starting to
fall. I picked about 10 lbs yesterday. Now I would never put mushrooms in
beer or mead but, is anyone else a mushroom hunter? I figure someday we
could hit the woods with some fine homebrew, then head somewhere to cook up
some shrooms and see how well they go with beer. Anyone interested?
Also, if you know about ripe elderberries or whatever, please let us know.
