Hi All,
We have some fun new beers available at The Muddy Pig this weekend.
On draught we have the Winter Ale from Summit and the very popular Two Hearted Ale from Bell's Brewing Company in Kalamazoo, MI.
We're getting in bottles of some winter beers including Samuel Smith's Winter Welcome, Full Sail's Wassail and one of my personal favorites, Sierra Nevada Celebration.
On the Belgian side I now have Gulden Draak and Piraat in 750ml bottles and I should have in some Triple Karmeliet, Kwak and Grotten Brown. I'm also expecting Terrible, a Belgian-style winter beer from Unibroue in Canada, the makers of Le Fin du Monde and Trois Pistoles.
Paul has been buying some new Scotches including Glenrothes 1989, a very smooth and great tasting whiskey.
Choche has prepared a great new pasta for this weekend with veggies, chicken, ham and a Dijon-Alfredo sauce that you really should try.
Cool weather = great beers. See you this weekend at The Pig!
Mark

Also--
Before the Gophers Football game Saturday or the Vikings game Sunday, we will again feature brunch. (Saturday 8-12 and Sunday 9-12) All you want to eat still just $8.95, Bloody Marys or Screwdrivers $1.00 off. Pint clubbers don't forget, you get a special $.75 discount
Cheers,
Mike
The U of M entomology grad students are having their annual honey sale this
month. You can get 5 lb bottles of clover-basswood blened honey for $10,
which is a pretty good price.
Go to http://www.tc.umn.edu/~frenatae/Products/products.htm for more info.
The sale is 11/19-21. There's a pre-order form on the web site.
If you want some honey and getting over to St. Paul campus is a problem for
you on those dates, you can get me your money in advanace and I'll pick up
honey for you.
Greetings, beer fans!
We are in the process of wrapping up the latest issue of The Boiler. As of
today, we have 12 members, or about 10 percent of the group, that have
elected to help the club reduce costs by downloading the newsletter from the
Web site. (I can't guarantee that I got you on the list if you verbally
gave me your vote in a brew pub after a few pints, but I believe everyone
who notified me by E-mail has been put on the list).
This decision is entirely up to each member, but just in case there are any
of you out there that intended to take the Web option, but haven't quite got
around to notifying me, here is your chance to do so before the new issue
goes to print. If you wish to continue receiving your printed copy of The
Boiler in the mail, you do not need to take any action. However, if you
wish to opt for the Web option, please notify me by E-mail by Wednesday,
November 5.
Thank you,
Dave Cox

I'm moving and want to get rid of an old spare refrigerator.
It's absolutely free for anybody who wants to come by and
pick it up.
It works just fine but it is rather old. I used it for
lagering and had it connected to an external temperature
regulator.
It is a one door type with the little freezer section in
the upper left corner.
It's located in Lino Lakes, straight north of downtown St. Paul
about 15 miles. Let me know if you are interested.
Thanks

This list is as accurate as I can quickly assemble.
Just a side note, amoung all the beers from around the world that found its
way to the Friday night Suite, and the Best of Show was a beer by Ken Quam
of Tolna, ND. This beer was not entered in the competition, however it was
Ken's first attempt at grain brewing. He MALTED his own barley which came
from a North Dakota farmer near Tolna. He did all the research necessary
to
make this a successful first grain brew.
Kudos to Ken, he received many many comments on the beer, it was good.
