I called Kevin Peterson today at WineHaven, and he's out of OB Honey until
spring. I'll check the Mpls Farmer's Market on Saturday and let you all
know if I found any there....

Greetings,
Saturday, 1-4, meeting at Water Tower Brewing in Eden Prairie. I don't think we'll have sunny warm patio weather so what better reason do you need to spend a couple hours indoors?
On the agenda is "Style of the Month", Holiday party planning, and discussion about future meetings.
"Wanted", volunteer to learn about our style of the month, "Bitter & English Pale Ales". We'll need a handout with some basic style info, a couple recipes, a little history, and a quick talk about your research. Let me know if you can help out.
Also, If you plan on attending, try to bring a homebrew or commercial example of the style and any info you think might help us all brew better beer.
Mike Moranz, President
Minnesota Home Brewers Association
In case anyone is interested, I'm forwarding this for a family member. Good
cause, good excuse for a beer.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Teach a Friend to Homebrew Day is Nov. 2
Boulder, Colo., • October 25, 2002—The American Homebrewers Association
(AHA) will tap off the fourth annual Teach a Friend to Homebrew Day
Saturday, Nov. 2, 2002.
The AHAÂ’s Teach a Friend to Homebrew Day is an international effort to
introduce people to the homebrewing hobby and establish relationships with
local homebrew supply shops. Over the past three years, this event has
brought in more than 400 new homebrewers to the hobby.
"Teaching a friend to homebrew is the best service a homebrewer can do for
the hobby,” said AHA Director Paul Gatza. “When a current brewer brings new
brewers into the hobby, the entire beer community improves. The local shop
receives more business and can provide fresher ingredients and better
equipment selection. The local homebrew club has more potential members. And
the brewing community receives more experienced, knowledgeable beer
enthusiasts who can spread the word and point others toward better beer.”
To celebrate this event, the AHA encourages homebrewers to teach their
non-brewing friends how to homebrew, register their brewing site on
www.beertown.org, take non-brewing friends to their local homebrew shop to
buy ingredients and have fun homebrewing. The AHA also encourages all
registered site participants to fill out the remittance form on
www.beertown.org after this event to help track the number of event
participants.
The AHA will mail free copies of Zymurgy for Beginners, the AHAÂ’s 24-page
introductory guide to homebrewing, and AHA promotional materials to sites
registered before Oct. 23.
For more information on how to celebrate and participate, visit
www.beertown.org.
Founded in 1978 the Association of Brewers (AOB) is a not-for-profit,
educational organization devoted to making quality beer and brewing
knowledge accessible to all around the world. The AOB had for divisions:
American Homebrewers Association; Institute for Brewing Studies; Brewing
Matters; Brewers Publications. The Association is based in Boulder, Colo.,
U.S.A.
