Howdy Townhallians,
Our e-mail is back up and running!!,just in time for another beer release.....Just $1
The day after Thanksgiving(friday) from 3-5 pm we will release Musty "Pete" Scottish Export. This is a lighter style than our Hope and King Scotch Ale and will be served with that extra smooth nitrogen. It is brewed with peated malt from the UK, which gives it an old, smoke-like,possible musty character; so expect alot of flavor. Come on down the day after Thanksgiving and have your fill for just $1 per pint, of that beer.
You can go shopping anytime, Christmas is not for another month.
P.S. Cheers to all of you Hope and King Scotch Ale drinkers...your beer was given a bronze medal at this years Great American Beer Festival, held in Denver last month!!.....yippeee
Cheers, Mike

Hey Everybody-
Just an advisory note from someone in the brewing industry.
I just got my latest price sheet from one of the companies
I buy malt from. Prices are up sharply. This is due to what is
being called the worst North American barley harvest since 1937.
Problems is other parts of the world(drought, frost and impending
war in Iraq)have either hurt barley harvests or driving up energy
costs.
If you have a source of malt you like buy soon as prices are going to go
up. Also, the ripple effect will soon be at your
favorite beer store, pub, brewery. If you have been procrastinating
buying that case of beer for the cellar this might not be a bad time to
buy...

This is not a test. Water Tower Brewing Company (at least the brewery
portion) is officially closed. Probably the hardest thing I have done in
my life was throwing the circuit breakers and locking the doors of the
brewery for the last time today. There is still beer on tap (even a
little barleywine). Thanks to everyone who has visited this little
portion of my life for the past six years...
Cheers!

Ok Ok, I know I promised ample warning about future brewing events but
this was a last minute decision to brew this afternoon/evening and my
abilities to produce and maintain a e-mail list, without a home ISP are
a little limited.
Details about the batch: American pale ale. Grist bill about 22 lbs.
Anticipated OG 1.055. Volume about 13.5 gallons. Yeast - English
classic. Hops: At least three additions of Nugget, Perle, and Cascade.
Usually include a FW addition and still considering using the hopback.
So here is it. The second brew-a-rama invite of the 2003 brewing
season.
Should be mashing in around 5:30 and hope to knock off around
9:30-10:00.
Same address as before - Call in the afternoon for directions (952)
941-9378 or send me a e-message and I will send you a simple map.
