Barrel Project 2017!
Depending on interest and finding a home for the barrel, the club will be purchasing a Kentucky bourbon barrel to be filled by members in good standing. The barrel will be arriving in about a month, so you will need to make an imperial stout in the very near future. Up to fifteen club members may participate, and each will provide 3-5 gallons of beer. There is a $50 gift card available to the person who is willing to host the barrel. If your beer tastes the least bit infected or off at the barrel-filling party, then your beer will not go in the barrel. Participants agree to share at least a small portion of the final results at club events. The barrel is coming soon, so don't delay! Cheers,John Personal. Professional.

We will be providing a breakfast before the first session starting at 8:30am consisting of a variety of Winona's famous Bloedow's Donuts and a make your own oatmeal bar, along with coffee and tea. Lunch will be a delicious chili available as both vegetarian and beef along with homemade cornbread.
We will be utilizing a Queued Judging flight setup are are hoping for 16-18 judges judging in teams of two. If you are able to be present for both sessions we would greatly appreciate it, but even if you are only able to participate in one session we would be happy to have you! There will likely be a mix of BJCP Certified Judges and non-certified judges who are either experienced local homebrewers or local brewery owners. We need the old shirt off your back, please! A generous soul has been making quilts out of homebrew club shirts, then auctioning them at the national homebrew conventions. She makes one quilt per convention out of logo shirts from the surrounding area of the convention. This year she would like to make a quilt out of MN/WI/IA/ND homebrew club logo shirts, so if you have one to donate, then please contact me or Chip Walton. All the money raised by the quilt sale goes to charity. Personal. Professional.
