The board of the Minnesota Home Brewers Association will be meeting Thursday, July 15 to discuss upcoming meetings and, in particular, improved communication with club members. All current members are welcome to attend, particularly people with an interest in volunteering or in suggesting a club activity. Suggesting a club activity and volunteering to lead the effort would be even better.
If you have an idea or a desire to get more involved, and you can't make this meeting, feel free to contact me by e-mail.
The meeting will be at the home of VP Mike Behrendt:
9060 Douglas Dr.
Eden Prairie, MN
(West of Eden Prairie Rd, North of Pioneer Trail)
Note that the August meeting will be Saturday, Aug. 7, noon to 3 at Midwest Supplies in St. Louis Park. Mead Day is the theme. We'll be making mead, talking about mead and tasting mead. A gallon of honey will be raffled off to an attending member. Please try to park at the north end of the parking lot so Midwest customers can have access to the store. Look for the club banner.
Thanks,
Paul Dienhart
MHBA Treasurer
John,
I copied some contacts at a few of the local clubs. Thanks for letting us
know. Hopefully, you'll get some business.

Subject: I'd like to offer your club a 10% discount.
Hello,
I recently opened up a new online store and would like to extend a 10%
discount to your club. The site is
http://farmhousebrewingsupply.com/Scripts/default.asp and you can enter the
discount code: MNHBC2010 when checking out for the discount. My main
business in selling hops, I sell in "semi-bulk" which consists of me selling
in 4/oz increments. This help keeps prices down and allows me to offer
great deals to my customers. Please pass this on to your member and have a
great day.
Happy brewing,
John

Fulton Beer
Ordinary Guys Brewing Extraordinary Beer
7/12/2010
Greetings!
Is it really mid-July already? It feels like just 11 weeks ago that BP
started dumping oil into the Gulf...oh yeah, it was. We'll leave the heavy
stuff to cable news, so here's a short, sweet update on the world of Fulton.
We just had our biggest month of sales yet, which is exciting, though not
that big of an accomplishment, since we've only been selling beer for about
8 months. Still, it's great to see all the support that you're giving us.
Keep drinking it and we'll keep making it. (And drinking it, too).
It appears that many of you have been enjoying the Lonely Blonde. If you
like it--or, even if you don't--shoot us a note on Facebook or Twitter to
let us know what you think. We're always happy to hear from you. It's now
available at about a dozen bars (which can be found on the Lonely Blonde's
page at www.fultonbeer.com

as the summer goes on.
July Happenings
A "hot" new beer
Join us for Beer & Beast at Acadia Café on Tuesday, July 13th, starting at
around 6:30. We'll be featuring our habanero-infused Lonely Blonde paired
with a meal prepared by Ted on the smoker. At around $12, it's a great deal
for a midweek meal & beer. Of course, if habaneros aren't your thing, you
can go with a standard Sweet Child of Vine.
Highland Park Beer Dabbler
All beer festivals are great, but the ones in the summer might be the best.
Just make sure to hydrate occasionally. We hear tickets are limited and
selling quickly, so head over to http://thebeerdabbler.com

Q1iRkc0tEDxkRVgCYx2lA==> to get yours. If you come to the event, make sure
to come by and say hi. We'll be serving some surprise twists on our Lonely
Blonde and Sweet Child of Vine, and we're also be speaking at one of the
seminars about starting your own brewery. Not sure we're any authority on
that, but it should be good for a few laughs, anyway.
That's it for this month!
We're throttling back on the events this month a little to focus on a few of
our other upcoming projects. We can't say much about any of them just yet,
but you'll hear it here first. For now, rest assured that we have some
majorly cool stuff in the pipeline.

Don't miss critical (what could be more critical than news about beer?)
