Subject: Summit announces Unchained #4: Belgian Style Golden Ale
Hi Al,
Summit's fourth Unchained beer - and the booziest beer they've made to date,
I might add - Belgian Style Golden Ale is set for release on Monday, July 19
(see announcement below). Also, I've attached a PDF of the beer specs.
If you need a high-resolution image of the bottle or packaging, don't
hesitate to reach out. And we're always up for sending samples, so let us
know if you want some!
Cheers,
Tim

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Summit Announces the Release of Belgian Style Golden Ale
Batch 04 of Unchained Series promises a formidable kick
ST. PAUL, MN - (July 12, 2010) - Summit Brewing Company announces the
release of their Belgian Style Golden Ale - the strongest beer yet to come
out of the brewery. Created by brewer Eric Harper, and the fourth beer of
Summit's limited release Unchained Series, this robust brew combines the
best hops, malts, and sugars inspired by the traditional golden ales of
Belgium.
"Here's a beer that goes way back," said Mark Stutrud, Brewmaster and
Founder of Summit Brewing Company. "Eric has done a great job creating a
flavor profile of a beer the Belgians would fight over."
Made with Belgian Candi Sugar, Belgian Style Golden Ale is a strong, fruity
ale with a dry effervescent finish. It's also hopped with Czech Saaz and
Styrian Goldings to yield wonderful spicy and floral notes.
"The brewing process took four months - and that's a long time to wait for
beer," said Eric Harper, brewer of Summit's Belgian Style Golden Ale.
"We've taken the best and boldest ingredients and created our version of a
traditional Belgian classic."
Kick-off parties for the release of Belgian Style Golden Ale featuring
brewer Eric, plus pint specials and prize giveaways, are happening all this
month.
* ****Monday, July 19: Longfellow Grill, 6-7:30 p.m. & Groveland Tap 8-9:30
p.m.
* ****Tuesday, July 20: Punch Pizza, Grand Avenue from 4-6 p.m. Free Golden
Ale with purchase of pizza at all locations.
* ****Wednesday, July 21: Grumpy's NE at 6 p.m.
* ****Thursday, July 22: Sweeney's in St. Paul at 6 p.m.
* ****Thursday, July 29: Rudolph's in Minneapolis from 6-8 p.m.
Also, for the first time, Summit is producing a cask conditioned version of
an Unchained Series beer. A firkin of the Golden Ale will be at Grumpy's on
Washington for their Firkin Lunch Friday on August 6 at noon.
Digital images of the Unchained Series are available on request. For more

-On June 10th, Omar won the Ernst & Young 2010 Entrepreneur of the Year

liquor store and it worked. The last 5 years has been a pretty amazing
experience. To go from no one wanting our beer to where we are at now is
nothing short of phenomenal. Head Brewer Todd Haug is the guy most
responsible for getting us to this spot and we are lucky to have him brewing
here. My wife, Becca and my parents have also been a big reason we have been
able to accomplish all that we have. Who would have thought brewing beer
would have led to this.
