Let's see if I can send a non-offensive email today. ;-)
The Midwest Homebrewer of the Year site has gotten a partial face lift.
Visit: http://sphbc.org for an update on:
1. New rules for 2006
2. New contests added to circuit.
The 2005 winner will be announced at the first leg of the 2006 circuit, the Upper Mississippi Mash-Out. You still have time to get entries in. Visit http://mnbrewers.com/mashout for more info.
Also, a big thanks to Northern Brewer for sponsoring the MWHBOY.

Did you know that some guy from Texas is entering 21 beers in the Upper Mississippi Mash-Out? Are you going to let some guy who probably likes the stinking Cowboys win medals here? Some guy from the nasty rathole of a state that stole our hockey team? Are you gonna stand for that?
Don't forget to enter your home town contest: http://mnbrewers.com/mashout
I found that the welding shop guys will refill and return a specific
tank. It takes a few days and they dislike it. The downside is if it
needs hydrotesting, you need to cough up the cash.

Neil,
I've always used Jason's Dry Ice since I used to live on Barton:

They are only open during the day hours during the week, so no nights
or weekends.
Last time I was there, I got my 20# tank hydro-tested and filled. Rates
are reasonable compared to other locations. Usually takes a couple
days, though if you call them in advance, you can figure out when they
are filling tanks, and schedule a morning drop-off and afternoon
pick-up.
FYI, I always keep a back-up 4# tank, just in case.

Greetings
The 2006 Upper Mississippi Mash Out is rapidly approaching. As in the
past we have offered beds to out of town judges to help reduce their
travel costs. We need to match these judges to hosts for a few nights.
The list of judges requesting beds is short but could grow at any time.
If you can host a judge or two for any of the nights, please let me
know. The nights we need covered are primarily Friday and Saturday
nights but we have a need for a Thursday/Friday/Saturday for one couple.
Thanks in advance for your help.
