There's a new Irish Pub at the Marriott Hotel along 394 at Shelard
Parkway. The entrance is from the frontage road and you can get off 394
at Hopkins Crossroad or get off 169 at Shelard Parkway.
They've got the standards on tap - Guinness and Boddington on nitrogen,
Smithwicks, Harp, Strongbow cider and Stella Artois along with some
other unmentionables. Also have lots of single malt Scotch with a
reasonable menu.
The pub itself was built in Ireland, shipped over and reassembled.
Enjoy

Someone mentioned a large book that was either recently became
available. I think it was more of a brewing text.
Immediately, I forwarded the message to my home office and all copies of
the document were lost. I just love our paperless society.
Anyone have a recollection of that book or the source?
Thanks for allowing me to be the village idiot for the day.

For those of you who enjoyed Mick at Al's House Concert, he will be at
two locations on the west side:
12/30 School of the Wise in Victoria - down the block from Floyds,
behind Carpenter lumber - very nice wine bar - no smoking
12/16 Narrows Saloon - Navarre - junction of 15 and 19 west of Wayzata,
but not as far as you think - $5 cover - no smoking
Another local group I like is Boyd Lee and Joe Cruz. They're at School
of the Wise on 12/17 and Narrows on 12/21.

At the Chrsitmas party Friday, I paid John the dues for the new member. John gave me his email address to send some info and it bounced back to me.
Does anyone have John's current email address?
Thanks!

government-oriented commission, and he had not even answered their phone
calls! Calls put through by another perfectly acceptable source, the
supposedly irreproachable, impartial head of Pentagon procurements, an
asshole named General Norman Swayne, who only wanted the best
information. Well, perhaps more than information, but Gates could not
have known about that. ... Gates? There was something in the Times the
other morning about his bowing out of a hostile takeover proceeding.
What was it? The limousine pulled up to the curb in front of the Carlyle
Hotel, once the Kennedy familys favored New York City address, now the
temporary clandestine favorite of the Soviets. Ogilvie waited until the
uniformed doorman opened the left rear door of the car before he stepped
out onto the pavement. He normally would not have done so, believing the

The Horse consented and allowed the man to mount him. From that
hour he found that instead of obtaining revenge on the Stag, he
had enslaved himself to the service of man.
The Kid and the Wolf
A KID, returning without protection from the pasture, was pursued
by a Wolf. Seeing he could not escape, he turned round, and
said: I know, friend Wolf, that I must be your prey, but before
I die I would ask of you one favor you will play me a tune to
which I may dance. The Wolf complied, and while he was piping
and the Kid was dancing, some hounds hearing the sound ran up and
began chasing the Wolf. Turning to the Kid, he said, It is just
what I deserve; for I, who am only a butcher, should not have
turned piper to please you.
I have not recieved any mail on this list for a few weeks now. I have
set to the request and received confirmation but still get no mail.
Would somebody please fix this.
thanks

Seems like you could apply much of this here... be it the Wild or the Twins
or the lack of Legally mandated MN Beers at events such as Taste of MN.

I have long believed that if the games were more available to the public
that interest in hockey would be greater than it is in Chicago, which at the
end of the day would make Dollar Bill more dollars.
