Just a reminder for all that ordered honey. Pickup behind Northern Brewer tomorrow between 10:30 and 11:15. I will not be there because once again that work stuff has got in the way of my beer hobby. My wife Rene' will be there instead. No one has said they could not make it. I know of two that will be there at the last moment. Jonathan Crist has offered to pick honey and take it to next week's camp out if anyone can not come tomorrow. Let me know. Bob

Lucky Friday June 13 - Mankato campout

ATTENTION ALL CAMPERS Find your tent, grab some beer. It's almost time to get out of here! The Minnesota Homebrewers Association proudly announces the first outdoor event of the 2003 season - lucky Friday. The event will actually be over about 2 days and will include a Friday visit to Dave Bergs new home, a Saturday excursion to Schells Brewing, and a Saturday afternoon-evening return to Mankato. They unfortunately do not take reservations. We will be there fairly early on Friday and will try to set a few sites aside. I will be on the scooter and am not planning on hauling the Webber. The Tap Now On Line

The web site for The Tap is up. If you haven't been there yet, here's where you find it: www.thetapchicago.com. It's pretty awesome. Part of the website which is not yet up and running but will be soon is a massive database of bar reviews. As some of you know, The Tap is also in hardcopy, another monthly freebie newspaper, usually nestled somewhere between the The Onion and The Windy City Times. I'd also like to do a cover feature for the paper about homebrewing in Chicagoland, including local brew clubs, with a big focus on CBS. If somebody has something they can contribute (history, philosophy, homebrewing in general, local stores, meets, judging, etc.) send me an e-mail and we'll talk. I'd like to hear from ALL the local home brew organizations and shop owners. I've got 3000 words to play with. BEER BUS BRIEFING / BOWLING BASH - BRYANT BOWL (June 12)

We will have a briefing for The Bus trip at Bryant Lake Bowl on (where else?) Lake St and Bryant on Thursday, June 12 at 7pm. Bring your bowling ball and shoes, otherwise they have rentals there. If you haven't been to Bryant Lake Bowl before, you're in for a treat - they have one of the BEST selections of any bowling alley in the country!! *** Unsubstantiated rumor: BOWLING SHIRTS may be distributed that evening!!! *** Come and drink a beer, bowl a frame (in uniform??) and get tooled for the big trip! Cranberry Honey

I got the honey in hand. The ones who ordered are: Al Boyce 2 gallons cranberry, 2 mint Chris Hadden 1 cranberry Jeff Cotton 1 cranberry Jasen Kalenborn 1 cranberry Steve Fletty 1 cranberry Rick Oftel 2 cranberry Steve Weiland 1 cranberry John Longalla 5 lbs cranberry (about 1/2 gallon, $10) John, he does not have quart sizes and he was out of smaller mint sizes. Steve Piatz 1 cranberry, 1 mint, 1 wild Jonathan Crist 1 cranberry I will be at Northern Brewer, in the back parking lot, between 10:30 and 11:00 am this Saturady morning, June 7th, for pickup. If you can't make that, how about sending me a check for $24 a gallon to Bob Cromer, 775 Larsen Lane, Hudson, WI. I can not make the club campout. Al or Rick, can you pick up and delivery to the club camp out for those who are going and can not be at Northern Brewer?
