Everybody: Do not join "The Beer Carbohydrate Info List", if you can
avoid it. The list managers are engaging in unethical Internet
practices. In short, they are spammers.
A week or so ago, I got unsolicited email from them asking if I wanted
to join The Beer Carbohydrate Info List. They're actually trying to sell
some book. It said that if I did not want to join, I should simply
ignore the message, which I did. Now I got a new message thanking me for
joining The Beer Carbohydrate Info List. So I made the mistake of
clicking on "unsubscribe", and today I find that I am subscribed anew
TWICE. I assume that if I unsubscribe each of those unsolicited
subscriptions, I will find myself subscribed 4 times, and so on.
The only way to deal with spam is to boycott the senders. Whatever you
do, don't buy that book they're advertizing!
Time for a beer.

Attention fellow homebrewers! We have a limited number of Angram and Higene
beer engines which we are offering for sale during the AHA conference. They
are all in mint or near-mint condition. The price will be in the low-mid
$300's, depending on the type. All interested parties please contact us.
Homebrewers at the conference can make arrangements with us in person. Please send
these people our way. We will also be selling British Real Ale posters, books
and the like on our website. Keep your eye on brewinbeagle.com for further

One of El Presidente Rick Oftel's additions to the Minnesota Home Brewers
Association is the Brew-A-Rama - where club members open up their brewery to
the rest of the club so we can all see how different people brew. Out on
the Yahoo Discussion Forum for the club there is now a database for the
Brew-A-Rama, listing upcoming brew dates for club members.
Surf to:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/mnbrewers/database?method=reportRows&tbl=4
or go to http://www.mnbrewers.com, then click on Discussion Forum and sign
in. Once on the Yahoo page, click on Databases, then Brew-A-Rama.
Add your own name and info if you're willing to share your brewery, or check
the dates to see who's brewing and whose brewery is available for touring at
any time.
