Fellowes,
I know some of you are always on the lookout for sources for beer & brewing
books. I stumbled across this site yesterday:

Lots and lots of stuff I've never seen before.

Greetings Minnesota Home-Brewers
Rick here with another exciting brewing announcement.
Saturday afternoon is the club meeting at Summit Brewing. This is the
last official club event before the February elections. We will have a
interesting agenda at this meeting and will be taking names, assigning
responsibilities, and did we mention pouring beer! Hope you can make
it to Summit. This is one of the other great meetings we have each year
and we look forward to your participation.
Not enough? OK, to get you primed up for the meeting at a major
brewery, how about stopping by my little brewery on Saturday morning to
get ready for Summit? I will be brewing a 14 gallon batch of Ol'
Longshot Barley Wine using Dave's recipe and a Ringwood yeast culture.
Need more? OK, we will also be serving a few remaining bottles of Ol'
Longshot brewed with Dave's culture and recipe.
Still not enough? OK then how about other beverages? We will have
fresh coffee, stout, steam, porter, pale ale, root beer, siason, and
cherry lambic.
That's all folks. Let me know if you plan on attending. I will try to
stretch out the basement as much as possible but there are limits.
OK, let's summarize. Morning brewing at Ricks with coffee (someone
bring donuts) and other beverages. Clean up a little and move over to
Summit for the pre-election meeting.
Hope to see you this Saturday in the morning or afternoon.
Sincerely
Rick O

If you're like me, now that Water Tower isn't brewing any more, you
probably won't be using your Mug Club membership there. The mug belongs to
you, though - so go in and pick them up if you want them!

Hi and Happy New Year to everyone. Great Waters wishes everyone a
wonderful 2003!
There is a lot going on at Great Waters these days. We have 2 new beers
up; the Carnival Ale- a cask conditioned winter ale, and our Sink the
Bismark, Black Ale. It's tough deciding between the two, so you might
as well have one of each.
On the 9th of January, The Call of theWild, the television show for the
Minnesota Wild will be filming their show here at Great Waters. Cliff
Ronning from the Wild will be here and we will be giving away tickets
and t-shirts. The show starts at 5. Get here early for happy hour, and
if you have a Wild Jersey wear it.
We are a great stop before and after any event at the Xcel. We do keep
our happy hours during game days unlike many bars, and we serve a full
dinner menu. Call ahead for reservations, and we'll even direct you to
some great parking spots so you can avoid the traffic.
Hope to see you soon.
Sean and Scott
Hi,
Since Sherlock's and Water Tower are no longer making
beer, just curious if anyone has any ideas or would
like to volunteer to host a WestSide meeting this
month or in future months.
We can still have meetings at hops once every few
months, so they are still in the "rotation" but I am
looking for some other options.
Cheers
WH
