Thanks to Mark and Eric Glewwe for organizing and officiating at the MhBA
Cider Squeeze out at Webber Apple Orchards. All in attendance had a GREAT
time, tried some fine homebrewed ciders and beers, as well as some 5 y/o
Polish Mead, and walked away with our fill of fresh cider. Attendees
included: Mike and Sue Moranz, Betsy Kremser, Curt and ?? (sorry, I didn't
catch her name), Sean and Livinia, Mark and Eric Glewwe and myself, plus
whoever arrived later in the day....
Thanks again Mark!

This is typically on Thanksgiving Weekend, however this year U.S.
Thanksgiving is later than usual, so it is the week before Thanksgiving.
You too, could win a bet in a London Pub if you know the correct way to
determine Thanksgiving: 4th Thursday in November. This might or might
not be the last Thursday, and it could be the 4th or 5th weekend in
November. Steve Hamburg and I won a round of beers in London once for
knowing this.

If only I had been as savvy at a young age to figure that out, maybe I
would have made Eagle (Well, maybe not as I'm sure there would have been
something else to disqualify me)
I'll see everyone in a couple of weeks. Unless it changes, I'm thinking
we'll be indoors. I can only do so much...
Cheers!

As thoughts of fall and the cooler temps come to mind, you might want to try an excellent autumn beverage. As some of you know, I've been working with my local liquor establishment to stock a selection of Polish meads.
The first 3 have arrived! So far, a cherry mead called Koronny is in stock along with Kurpiowski Royal Mead, and an aged mead called Jadwiga. The Royal is aged at least 5 years and the Jadwiga is an amazing 25 years. Just picked them up last night and I'm looking forward to tasting. You may ask" where do I get these?"

Right next to Cub Foods at France and Old Shakopee Rd.
They also have a location in North Oaks at
859 Village Center Dr
Not sure if that store stocks the meads yet.
Check out the distributors website for some details about these new kids in town.
