Subject: Call for Judges - KROC Great American Beer Challenge - Sept 14
Greetings judges,
I'd like to invite you to judge at the 8th Annual KROC Great American Beer
Challenge. We aim to be the premiere American-style amateur beer
competition, and I would like your help. I believe in taking care of my
judges, and I can promise small flights, quality judges, and a fun time.
Entries are currently limited to 200, and I will raise the limit only high
enough to match the judge commitments I receive. As a judge you will have
early access to register one entry, and you can submit additional entries
during the open registration period. I intend to award the top three
entries in each subcategory to fully recognize the great beers even in the
often underrepresented styles.
Judging will take place at the Westminster Brewing Company on Sunday,
September 14th. There will be morning and afternoon flights, with a BBQ
lunch served in between. For more information and to register please use
the link below.

Entry window: Friday August 29th to Saturday September 6th.

Subject: 2014 Schnapp Hans Cup Call for Judges
Judges,
The 2014 Delafield Schnapp Hans Cup is coming up on October 11th in
Delafield, WI (just outside of Milwaukee). The competition is held at and
sponsored by Delafield Brewhaus. The Brewhaus provides an excellent lunch
and some beer. Plus it is a smaller event limited to traditional beer
styles (no specialty, fruit, spice/herb/vegetable, sour beer, cider or
meads) with 3 categories consisting of small flights so judging is relaxing
giving judges the opportunity to 1.5 points on the day.
Visit the website for more info and to register:

The September MHBA meeting will be on Saturday, September 13 from noon to 3 pm at Day Block Brewing. They were selected at the Star Tribune's Best Brew Pub in 2014.
Day Block is located in a cool historic building next to Grumpy's and our group will be hanging out in the tap room. Assistant Brewer, Dan Banks, will be available for tours from 1-3 pm. They have great beer and food, and we should have a server or two just for our group, so I hope you can join us. (There is another event happening that day, but home brew is welcome as long as it is served discreetly.)
Address is 1105 Washington Avenue S, Minneapolis, MN 55415
There is limited free parking behind the building (no parking in the Grumpy's lot), $.25/hour meters on 3rd Street, and $1/hour meters throughout the neighborhood. Please consider public transportation or carpooling.
