Market Force Information®
Very last minute, but perhaps someone can help me out. Trying to find
someone to loan me a ~10 Gallon (or larger) brew kettle for a day or two. I
ordered some fresh Citra hops from Northern Brewer and intend to make a
tasty wet hop IPA...but declined to think about volume. I know my ~7.5
Gallon kettle won't do the trick with a pound of wet hops (and some dry) so
I was hoping someone wouldn't mind helping me out with a larger kettle.
Ideally someone near the SW metro as I don't drive, but I should be able to
find transportation if your further out. Also if you just wanna hang out for
the brew that's fine by me. The goal is to brew on Wednesday evening as
that's the day I can pick up the hops. Any help is much appreciated and I
will certainly take proper care of your property. Thanks & Cheers!

The Irresistibles is an unabashed celebration of American and British
Retro-Soul and Rhythm and Blues, performed by a razor sharp 9-piece band.
Featuring some of the top talent in the Twin Cities, The Irresistibles is
led by longtime frontman/singer-songwriter and multiple Minnesota Music
Award winner Mick Sterling. Also handling the lead singing duties are two
very soulful singers and fresh faces in the Twin Cities music scene, Katy
Gearty and Cate Fierro. The Irresistibles Horn Section features two of the
members of the well regarded Jack Brass Band. The rhythm section for the
Irresistibles is the Twin Cities version of Booker T. and the MG's. They
call themselves TOBY LEE AND THE HD'S, led by Toby Marshall on Hammond
Organ.
Please join us in our back yard to party with The Irresistibles on Saturday,
Sept 10,2011 with barbecue and pot luck starting at 5pm (BYO meat and
something to share), show time starting at 7pm. Make your calendar - it's
going to be a PARTY!

Please note: This is a private party, in our private home. This party is NOT
a business nor is it a business related activity. It is simply a gathering
of our friends and guests to enjoy live music, fellowship, food (a potluck)
and fun. It is officially free (or else it might be considered a business),
although voluntary contributions (suggested donation of $20 per person) are
accepted on behalf of the artists. 100% of all contributions go directly to
the performers. By invitation only.
Hark fellow homebrewers!
Registration for Byggvir's Big Beer Cup, (The Minnesota Renaissance Festival
homebrew competition,) is still open! The registration deadline is coming
quick: September 12th at www.rennfestbeercup.com
<http://www.rennfestbeercup.com/> . In the past we have had around 150
entries, but for the fifth annual competition our goal is 200, so help us
out!
This is a limited category competition, so check the accepted categories on
the website. We are looking for styles from the British Isles, Belgium,
Germany, etc. We also love meads and ciders! We have some great prizes for
entrants and volunteers: Best Of Show and runners-up will get special
Renaissance Festival goblets as well as gift certificates to local homebrew
stores. There is a special category and prize for Historic beers: so put
one of them in this year! If you have questions about whether an entry will
fit, shoot me an e-mail from the website.
Drop off sites are at Northern Brewer (St. Paul, MN,) Midwest Homebrew
Supplies (St. Louis Park, MN,) and StillH20 (Stillwater, MN.) This
competition requires 2 brown unlabeled 12 ounce bottles. Print out labels
with your entries online and affix with a rubber band to each bottle.
Payment online via PayPal is recommended.
We also need help with judging and stewarding! If you can help out, please
fill out the volunteer section on the website. We will be judging Saturday
Sept 24 and Sunday Sept 25 at the MN Renaissance Festival grounds.
Volunteering ahead of time will get you free entry to the Festival and a
sweet shirt. You may come in costume if you have one, otherwise you need to
wear your (Free!) shirt during judging. There will be some Harriet Brewing
beers on tap as well as some homebrews, but lunch is not provided (get
yourself a turkey leg!) This has always been one of my favorite
competitions to volunteer at because it encourages new judges and stewards
to get involved, and to learn from more experienced judges.
This year Jack Of All Brews and the Minnesota Homebrewers Association are
bringing the fun, and want to see you there. Get registered and we'll see
you at the Festival! Friend us on Facebook too for more pictures and
updates.

I have everything need to make a fermentation chamber but I don't have the
skill to wire a ranco dual stage controller. I am looking for some help.
Anyone good with wiring these things? I can offer beer units in exchange.

Thanks Chris!
