There are many club members who have not paid their dues for the 2011 year.
It's still $15. You can pay by PayPal from the MHBA website, or you can write a
check out at the next club meeting. I will send your membership card out to you
or give it to you at our next meeting.

To Whom it May Concern,
Hello my name is Ryan Dauss and I have just started brewing beer on my own
here in Duluth, MN. In my pursuit to find employment with a brewery and
eventually own my own brewery, I am looking for brewing and/or malting
certification programs. I was hoping someone in the Minnesota Home Brewers
Association might know of where I could find a program in MN. Any
information would be greatly appreciated...feel free to pass this email to
whomever might to answer my question.
Thank you,
Ryan Dauss

Although the Twins must take the outdoor field in less than three weeks (brrrr . . . ), the Saint Paul Saints wait till a more-hospitable mid-May date to begin their season. For the 73rd year in a row, the MN Homebrewers Association will have a tailgating party before a May Saints game, and this year the date is MONDAY, MAY 23rd Reserved-seating tickets are $12 each, and those you should e-mail me to reserve. Do so NOW, please, rather than the week before the game. The club has to decide by April 22nd how many tickets we're purchasing, so just do it now! Then send a check (payable to MHBA) to John Longballa1015 Parker AveRoseville 55113 The gates to the park open at 4:00 that day, and VERY shortly thereafter the club members will begin assembling at our usual tailgating spot (#5) for homebrew, grilling, and fun. The club pays for the tailgating spot, as well as for tables and chairs. You bring beer, Frisbees, and something to grill. Three people should volunteer to bring a grill, please; tell me that you're doing so. Families are most definitely welcome, and one does not have to be a member to attend this event. Very young children generally aren't harassed at the gate about having a ticket, but you have to make the call on how many tickets to purchase for wee ones. Around 7:00 about half the assembled throng will head in to watch the start of the game. Around 8:00 a few more may straggle in. Some just hunker down and tailgate until the game is over, and that's just fine. The crazy stories about prior games are now shared only at the event, so you'll have to attend to hear about past years. Join us! Thanks,
John Personal. Professional.

March 15, 2011

Wet/torn cardboard and beer bottles don’t mix! There is a new waterproof beer case built for homebrewers.
It’s also more durable, longer lasting and stackable and made in the U.S.A.
The look is retro but updated by making them out of corrugated polypropylene.
Each case holds 24, 12 oz. long neck or stubby bottles.
Homebrewers are using them. Check out these new cases from C&W Crate Company at www.cwcrate.com.
See what other homebrewers are saying about them at: www.cwcrate.com/Beer_Case_Comments_s/56.htm
For a limited time only we are offering an introductory promotional price. To see the promotional pricing enter the Promo code: brewclub1 in the Promo code box on the shopping cart page.
This Promotional pricing is available now through march 27th.
