Greetings,
I am hoping to be able to do another group cider buy from the same orchard
as last year. My main concern is the truck that I used last year doesn't
have very good brakes or tires and with the treacherous icy winter last year
I am not really comfortable using the same truck if the weather is as bad as
it was. So I am reaching out to you fine folks to see if anyone has a 1 ton
truck that they would be willing to drive (or loan out) to pick up cider in
early November. We can work out gas compensation if this is a concern.

Hello BJCP Judges,
The Madison Homebrewers and Tasters Guild (MHTG, www.mhtg.org) will be holding the second annual Badger Brewoff which will be held at East Side Business Men's Association in Monona, Wisconsin, on Saturday, November 5th, 2011. The competition is sanctioned by the Beer Judge Certification Program and the American Homebrewers Association. The event is being coordinated by Mark Schnepper <mschnepper(a)yahoo.com> and Mark Alfred <hulsie2002(a)yahoo.com>. The Judge Coordinator is Ralph Kuehn (brewoff.judges(a)gmail.com)
We need BJCP Judges for the beer categories. Additionally, we need qualified Mead and Cider Judges.
If you are interested in judging, please contact the Judge Coordinator, Ralph Kuehn

qualifications, categories you would prefer to judge and categories you are unable to
judge. Remember to include all of your contact information (e-mail, snail-mail, phone

Tentative schedule:
Breakfast from 8:30-9:00 a.m.
Calibration beer at 9 a.m.
Flight 1: 9:15 a.m.-11:30 a.m.
Lunch 12:00 -12:45.
Flight 2: 1-3:30 p.m.
6:30 pm
Speaker: Steve Piatz
Topic: "Brewing Belgium Beer"
Location: TBD.
