Summit Brewing Company Hiring a Maintenance Mechanic
Job Description:
The Maintenance Mechanic position will include but will not be limited to building, packaging equipment and brewing equipment maintenance while ensuring safe, efficient and on time uninterrupted production within the brewery. This is a first shift position with an occasional need for weekends and overtime.
Job Responsibilities:
* Perform routine maintenance of building, brewing and packaging equipment.
* Troubleshooting, repair and minor programming of the brewery's PLC operating systems (Allen Bradley SLC 500, 503, 504, PLC 5 and Siemens S7-400)
* Troubleshoot various electrical systems.
* Maintain accurate inventory records, order new inventory, work with suppliers to obtain optimal pricing on repair parts.
* Report to Plant Manager current status of projects and assist in scheduling upcoming maintenance shutdowns.
* Boiler Operation/Maintenance of 150hp gas fired steam boiler.
Requirements:
* Trade School or previous Electrical, PLC and Automation experience.
* Strong mechanical background, previous packaging line experience preferred.
* Minnesota Dept. of Labor Boiler operator's license 2-B preferred but not required, willingness to obtain is required if not currently possessed.
* PC proficiency including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point, RSLogix 5, RSLogix 500, RSLinx and Simatic Manager.
* AutoCAD experience preferred but not required.
* Forklift operation experience preferred but not required.
* Brewing and beer packaging experience preferred, but not required.
* Associate or bachelor degree preferred, but not required.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

* Competitive salary based on level of experience.

than Saturday, January 29th) and we will pick them up from there as well.
The Great Northern Brew-Ha-Ha will be held at the Holiday Inn

attend and need a room, contact the Holiday Inn at 218-722-1202 and ask for the
"Northern Ale Stars rate", which is $79 per night. Dinner Friday
evening and Breakfast Saturday morning will be provided. Jon Hamilton of White Winter Winery (meadery http://whitewinter.com/) will be speaking at

Firkin Fest March 26 2011
We are sending out firkins to be filled, so hopefully you marked your calendar. Saturday, March 26. This year entry will be a set price of $35, and you can enjoy all the firkin beer you would like (well, responsibly that is). Firkin Fest from 1-5, with a possibility of VIP tickets for $45 with entrance at noon. Tickets will be limited and go on sale March 1. So this year, just a simple enter the Firkin Fest tent and enjoy.
