Folks,
I have been working with Pine Tree Orchard on this and they should be
getting back to me shortly to let me know if they will be pressing next
week. I am still working with them on exact pricing and logistics. Depending
on these factors we may receive a large tote and have to fill our own
vessels, which will be more complicated but cheaper, or we may just get it
in gallon jugs provided the price isn't too much steeper. Below is a list of
people and their desired quantities, for those that have a range of gallons
please clarify how much you would like. If others are interested please
email me. I will send out an email in the next few days (whenever I get
information) on exact price and potential date/location of pick up as well
as a cut off date for requests.

During Prohibition, bootleggers made their own booze by burying grapes underground or catching moonbeams in a jar of water. Make alcohol the easy way with today's Groupon: for $42, you get a brewing basics equipment kit and your choice of either an Irish red ale, an autumn amber ale, or an Irish stout ingredient kit shipped from Midwest Homebrewing and Winemaking Supplies (up to an $85.90 value). Unlike puzzle piece of the month clubs, your brewing basics equipment kit gives you everything you need in one handy package, except for bottles and the brew kettle itself. Ingredient kits yield five-gallon liquid harvests in flavors such as Irish red ale, a richly colored, aromatic quaff popular among home brewers and discerning drinkers. Autumn amber ale provides a roasty seasonal sip, and Irish stout sports a rich bittersweet brew topped with a creamy head. Whatever the favored flavor, Midwest's premium ingredients and handy 90-minute how-to DVD help to make consistent batches each time, aiding neophyte brewers in avoiding the embarrassment of turning out a spicy pilsner or bacon-flavored lager. Pick one up for yourself, or gift one to the discerning drinker or mad malt scientist in your life.

I know most of you already have all this stuff, but never hurts to stock up on extra buckets and even a 5-gallon kit.

For the ??-th year in a row, we were blessed with good weather, making demo brewing outside for the MN Homebrewers Association's Teach-A-Friend-To-Homebrew event most pleasant.
My thanks to Barley John's Brewpub for allowing us to take over for an afternoon, and to Midwest Supplies, Northern Brewer, and Brew-N-Grow for providing equipment kits and recipe kits (and other goodies) for door prizes. Many brewing neophytes went home VERY happy!
Thanks also to Gera Exire LaTour, Todd Simmons, Chris Smith, Al Boyce, Mike Behrendt, Bob Norman, and Scott Brown for helping in one way, shape, or form.
John
