Al,
I have attached the flyer for the KGB Big Batch Brew Batch
which is the largest single style home brew event in the world.
The style is Imperial Stout and the judging will be on May 20th.
Also, there is no charge for entering. It will cost you just shipping.
The winner gets the recipe brewed as a St. Arnold's Divine Reserve
and gets to brag until the next BBBB. Also, the beer will be entered
in the AHA pro am competition (if the brewer is AHA member).
Please see if any one is interested in entering. I will mark my calender
for the next UMMO. I had a great time.
Cheers,
Ed Moore

I just heard from Steve Daiken that the Brew-Ha-Ha can reimburse for
growlers, so please try to bring something if you're going to Duluth.
They're also hoping we can bring some homebrew to sample.
See ya Friday/Saturday in Duluth!

I've been asked by the Great Northern Ale Stars to see about getting
some growlers from the Twin Cities brew pubs for the Brew-Ha-Ha this
weekend. But, I don't have time to solicit the brewpubs for donations
and to collect them before Friday.
So, it would be great if anyone going to Duluth this weekend could stop
by a Twin Cities brewpub and get a growler to bring to Duluth.
I'll try to get some cans from Surly and a growler from Town Hall and
Barley Johns. I'll get the Wild Brunette from BJ and something cask
conditioned from Town Hall.
I don't know if the competition has funds to reimburse for this, so
consider it your own donation, just make sure you get your growler back
at the end. It will help get this new competition off to a great start.
Thanks!

Subject: First Brew at Flat Earth
Greetings,
I am just putting the finishing touches on the first official brew
at our brewery. We brewed an 8 barrel batch of Flat Earth Pale Ale to
get our yeast started. We plan on brewing two 15 barrel batches next
week. Things are almost done here. The beer cooler is nearing
completion. Kegs and our keg filler are in route. If everything goes
right we should have beer out to you, the patient consumer, in 2-3
weeks. Look for an email in the coming weeks about our beer release
party. After that keep an eye on the website for updates on where to
find Flat Earth Pale Ale.
Thank you,
Jeff Williamson

Minnesota Homebrewers,
I'm waiting to hear from all you homebrewers from the great state of
Minnesota!!! Denver would be a great roadtrip for bringing over your
homebrew to share with the rest of us during Club Night at this year's
National Homebrewers Conference!! And, if I can get at least 1 club
from Minnesota to participate, maybe we can work together to coordinate
transporting the beer for other clubs from Minnesota!! It would be great
to have a Minnesota presence at this year's conference!!
If you or your homebrew club are interested in participating (having a
"booth") at this year's NHC Club Night, please send me an email with
your contact information and I will be sure to get you registered for
the Club Night event.
The conference is scheduled for June 21-23 here in Denver and the AHA
website has been updated with all the latest information including hotel
reservations, etc.: _http://www.beertown.org/events/hbc/index.html_
Club Night promises to be one of the most fun events at the conference
again this year so don't be left out in the cold - get your club
registered now to participate in this event!!
Please let me know if you have any questions. The planning for this
year's conference is well under way and it's shaping up to be the best
yet!! You won't want to miss it!!
I'm looking foward to tasting all your homebrew in June!!
