Other than the volume, it sounds exactly like the 50-gallong mobile brewery
trailer that the St.Paul club already has.

I love the idea of a functional mobile brewery/exhibit. I don't know if we
could accomplish it within the 1200-1600 budget, but perhaps with the right
combination of donated/scavenged stuff...

Sounds like you need a "cart" and not a "trailer."
The 15 gal. system in this picture wheeled into a closet - 3 kettles, 3
burners, pump and chiller - all gravity fed.

Greetings fellow homebrewers!
I figured it couldn't hurt to ask--do any of you know where a good (see:
"inexpensive") place is to buy a Grain Belt or Summit neon beer light?
You see, my wife has decided to paint and rearrange the
basement--formerly the only place in my house I could call my own.
Well, you should see it now. Definitely not mine any more.
I have to mark my territory somehow. Any help would be appreciated!

Hi Owen,
I'm a past president of the MHBA and think that closer ties between our
clubs is a good thing. As an example, St Paul Homebrewers, Prairie
Homebrewing Companions, Timberworts, Cloudytown Brewers and the MHBA help
each other out on numerous projects. It often allows us to host events that
we couldn't otherwise organize. Stay in touch.

Hello,
I had a message from someone in your club requesting contact information
for our club, the Rum River Wort Hogs. I'm sorry I lost the note and did
not call back. Here is our information

Current club president is Owen Strand <strandog(a)comcast.net>

My juice is still in the primary. I rouse the yeast about twice a week
and still get a fair amount of activity. Regardless, I'll rack to
secondary and change out the yeast stock next weekend.

I just started brewing outdoors earlier this summer,
so today is my coldest outdoor brewday so far. It's
also the first problematic brewday -- I've been
pumping heat into 12 gallons of wort (in a converted
sankey) for over two hours, and it's barely at 190
up from 150 at the end of the sparge. Is this out of
line for a windy 40-ish day, or am I doing something
grossly wrong?
I'd hate to have to move back into the warm indoors,
and be stuck with 5 gallon batches this winter :-(
I'll need to work on some windscreening, for sure --
the lawn chairs and buckets I'm using now don't cut
it. Will I need to look into insulating the Sankey?

It's time again to pick the BEST IPA in the Minnesota Home Brewers Association!
On Tues, October 26, we will meet at my place to taste IPA's, and to pick the best one to send off to the National American Homebrewers Association Club-Only competition, where our champion will compete against the challengers from all the other clubs in the nation.
The contest is based on the 2004 BJCP Guidelines, so English, American and IMPERIAL IPA's are welcome!
http://www.bjcp.org/styles04/Category14.html
If you have an IPA, please bring it over on Oct. 26 at 7pm, and then stay to help us pick the winner! If you can't make it that night, please drop your IPA off before then, and we'll drink it for you!
See you then!
PS - the NEXT Club-Only beer is the new style, Irish Red Ale, which we'll be judging on Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2005. Plan on brewing yours in Mid-November to have it ready by then!
