Just a quick note to inform everyone of my resignation as Head Brewer at Water Tower Brewing Company, and subsequent acceptance of Head Brewer of Bandana Brewing Company, located in Mankato, MN. Now before everyone gets confused thinking "Wait, there is no brewery in Mankato," I can only respond "Yet." Equipment arrives next Wednesday, hope to be brewing by early December, opening early January. I know, it's a tight schedule and last time I put together a brewery I swore it would be the last.... Thanks to everyone who supported Water Tower and myself during the last six years--I hope to see you all in Mankato. The plan is to do a decoction mash. A few of the guys have done one and the others are willing to learn. Here are the details: Start time is 9:30. Good things to bring is beer to share and muchies. Feel free to stop by, hang out, meet the guys, have some of the numerous homebrews, shoot the breeze, watch some football, get a look at the big brew system, ask questions, etc.... Here are the directions: No matter where you're coming from, this is the easiest. Take 35E to Maryland Avenue exit. Go East on Maryland to Burr (5 blocks). Take a left on Burr. Go two blocks to Ivy. Take a right. Bradley is the next street. Our garage is the driveway on your left just before you get to Bradley. Look for a bunch of cars in the driveway and guys standing around. If you miss the driveway, Bradley only goes left. We are the second house on the left. 1335 Bradley St. in St. Paul." So this concludes this test. Fruit/Veg/Spice Beers: MhBA round Tues. Nov 12: AHA Club-Only Competition

On other business... Anybody got any Fruit/Veg/Spice beers that they want to have judged? The MhBA will be picking our club contestant to the AHA Club-Only competition next Tuesday, Nov 12, 7pm at my house. Drop me an email if you've got an entry, or if you'd like to help judge. If nobody enters, my Smoked Scotch Winter Warmer will win by default, and we don't want THAT to happen!!!!
