So I'm an amateur with kegging. What is the easiest method of transporting beer from
a keg to brew club? I just tried filling a 22 oz bottle from a picnic tap and I made
quite a mess. I'm looking for cheap and effective methods. Any advice would be
great!

I'll stop by and chat with ya tomorrow at work. In a nut shell; chill the bottle,
turn down the keg pressure, attach a hose to the tap to fill bottom up, cap on foam.

Kent's right. I'm really digging the little 32 oz. "medicine bottle"
style growlers...two good pints, and the stubby neck and wide taper at the top are ideal
to fill without a lot of overfoaming. If you're lazy, y ou don't even need to
bottom fill if the mini growler is icy and you rotate it constantly as you fill it over a
bucket. Minimal foaming and good short term carbonation. The 64-oz ones work, too.

I bought one of these awhile back and it works great. Pretty inexpensive but only good if
you have taps.
