Kent's right. I'm really digging the little 32 oz. "medicine bottle" style growlers...two good pints, and the stubby neck and wide taper at the top are ideal to fill without a lot of overfoaming. If you're lazy, you don't even need to bottom fill if the mini growler is icy and you rotate it constantly as you fill it over a bucket. Minimal foaming and good short term carbonation. The 64-oz ones work, too.

So I'm an amateur with kegging.  What is the easiest method of transporting beer from a keg to brew club?  I just tried filling a 22 oz bottle from a picnic tap and I made quite a mess.  I'm looking for cheap and effective methods.  Any advice would be great!
