FW: Judges & Stewards needed for the 2nd Nordeast Big River Homebrew Competition

Esteemed judges, stewards and beer aficionados, The Nordeast Brewers Alliance is again hosting the Nordeast Big River Homebrew Competition in conjunction with the Nordest Big River Brew Fest. Last year we had a great time running our first BJCP competition and couldn't have done it without your help along the way. We had over 150 entries last year, and expect even more this year. The competition is beer only, with the addition of the specialty categories American Wild Ale and 100% Brett. We hope to again bring out the funk and unleash the wild ales. Standard BJCP judging points will be awarded based on sessions judged or stewarded, and we will be providing food and refreshments during the judging. Registration for competition judging/stewarding is open Aug 21-Sep 28.at nordeasthbc.brewcompetition.com . Please sign up if you can volunteer. All Judging will be done at the East Side Neighborhood Services, 1700 2nd St NE, Minneapolis. Judging sessions will be Oct 12 and 13, from 10-4:30, broken into AM and PM shifts. BOS judging will be held Oct 13. All winners will be announced at the Nordeast Big River Brew Fest on Saturday Oct 19. I hope to have a great cast of judges and stewards just like last year. Minnesota Zoo free passes

I have 4 passes to the MN Zoo free to whomever wants them . They expire Sept. 2nd 2013 so if you are going in the next 2 weeks this will save you almost $80. I have this out to many people so first in gets them.

More help needed for Byggvir's Contest on August 24 & 25

We are on our way to a record setting number of entries for Byggvir's Big Beer Cup! I would love to have more judges and stewards sign up to help out. People with limited judging experience will be paired with judges who have taken the BJCP exam. (This is the perfect first contest to learn about home brew judging!) We are judging on-site at the Minnesota Renaissance Festival on Saturday, August 24 and Sunday, August 25th. You get in to the Fest for free on the day(s) you help out and I try to leave plenty of time for you to enjoy the events. Fridge

Hey guys. I have no idea how to do this. While we were moving last week with movers to our new townhome in maple grove. Someone must of hit my mash tun megapot, but the cover handle came off. I have no clue how to weld stainless steel to get it back on. Any know how to do it or someone can do this small job. Thanks Erik
