then update the web site.

I just joined the mailing list... any chance you know anything about the
homebrew competition at Renfest MN 2013?
Thanks,
-Mike
Just curious - is anything happening with this competition for 2013? The
site is sadly out of date, and Renfest and Statefair are coming up soon...
This is pretty much my only opportunity to hang out with your club members.
Please let me know if this is still happening, and which weekend it might
be on if it's still scheduled.
Thanks!

Has anyone ever used the water from the Frederick Miller spring? It is an
artesian well in Eden Prairie. I saw it on Kare11 last night. I am just
wondering to know the quality of the water for brewing at home. My water
at home is so hard, I always need to add distilled to soften it up
Thanks
Erik Nelson
Quite a number of years ago I made a pale ale using Miller spring water, cut with a couple of gallons of distilled water. The beer was fine, choppy enough to cover any off flavor or aroma that may have been from the spring water.
I was also using it as drinking water. It was not too BSD at all regarding taste. However, I stopped using it because of some negative press regarding nitrate levels supposedly in the water.
If someone has had the water chemistry profile info, it would be very good to share with the group.
Cheers,
Steve
