This year.s awards coincide with a recent judgment by UNESCO to name French gastronomy to its international list of Intangible Cultural Heritage. The Award of Excellence will be given to Vincent Francoual, of Puy L.eveque, France, who is celebrating the 10th anniversary of Vincent a Restaurant. Since a French meal is complete only with a properly paired French wine, this year.s President.s Award winner is Jack Farrell, the owner of Haskell.s. Farrell is a past president of the Alliance Francaise, a past president of the French American Chamber of Commerce, a co-founder of the local gastronomy club The Chaî des Rôseurs, and the founder of the local burgundy wine club, Confrée des Chevaliers du Tastevin. The evening will feature French crooner Tangi Colombel, a four-course gourmet French dinner by Chef Serge Devesa with wines from Grand Pé, plus silent and live auctions.
