This Thursday is the BJCP class covering Brown, Scottish and Strong Scotch ales. We also will be judging our Brown Ales to determine which entry will go to Fargo for the AHA Club Only Brown Ale Competition. The class will be held at Midwest from 6-10pm. I was able to find several commercial examples of 80 Shilling, Strong Scotch, Northern English Brown and American Brown ale. Some are classics, some are not. I have one example of Mild (Three Floyd's), plus one homebrewed 60 shilling. I couldn't find any commercial examples of 60 or 70 shilling Scottish or Southern English Brown Ale, and could use more examples of Mild ale. See you Thursday night Jonathan
