Mankato Brewery is a young production brewery selling its first beers in January of 2012. We are a brewery that is focused on creating authentic beers that reflect the heritage of the region and its people. Website: www.mankatobrewery.com Mankato Brewery is looking for a brewer to handle all facets of the brewery operations. Candidate's duties will encompass everything that needs to be done in a production brewery. Primary Responsibilities: • Independently brew batches and manage brewing operations, including but not limited to, handling raw materials, operating the brew house, vessel CIP (including heat exchanger), yeast management, cellar work, other aspects of brewing and cellar work, packaging (kegs and bottling line) and lots of cleaning; • Perform quality control and quality assurance testing; • Manage raw material ordering; • Maintain timely and accurate records and reporting; • Excellent time management and organizational skills; • Willingness to assist with tasks outside key responsibilities; • Communicate efficiently with staff and customers; The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years experience as a brewer in a production brewery. A formal brewing education or degree in relevant science related field is desired. We are looking for someone with a passion for making great beer, a strong work ethic and a team player that is looking for a long-term position.
