Clearly we have folks that love to cook creatively, as well as make excellent
beer.
I am volunteering for performing Quality Assessments and ensuring
complete Food
Safety for any food/beverage recipes that are concocted by fellow club
members!

Black currant mead makes an excellent base to reduce
for mushroom
drizzle. A little Worchester sauce, a dash of pepper and viola, your
steak should be served in a famous steak house.

I've also made homemade ice cream using beer as a liquid ingredient.
A bit of stout to a chocolate ice cream adds an interesting
complexity.
The guys at Moonlight Meadery do the same thing with their cinnamon mead.

For many years, I have considered a float made
with stout and vanilla
ice cream to be a very special summertime treat. Dry stouts (e.g.
Guinness) seem to be an exceptionally good counterpoint to the
sweetness of a high-quality vanilla ice cream. I think a float would
be better than mixing it all up in a blender, though of course some
research might now be necessary...

One evening at an early BJCP training event, we
investigated how
well imperial stout worked with ice cream. We concluded we would
gain much weight if the remaining beer samples were all mixed up
