The new store is getting closer and closer to opening. Grand Opening festivities will be held over the weekend of November 13 - 15 and promises to be a good time for all. There will be all-grain brewing demonstrations hosted by NB employees and featuring Jamil Zainasheff and John Blichmann (on Friday and Saturday, respectively). The Brewing Network will be broadcasting live on location. Brian Perkey from Wyeast Laboratories will be talking yeast and generally hanging out. Award-winning mead-maker (and NB employee) Curt Stock will be in the house talking mead. Northern Brewer will again be having our annual Black Friday Sale on November 27th. WE WILL NOT BE OPEN FOR REGULAR BUSINESS HOURS ON THE DAY OF THE SALE! We will be opening early at 8:30 AM for all you brewers out there hoping to squeeze in two brew sessions. We will also be closing early at 5 PM. Everything in the store will be discounted by 15%. This is a one-day-only sale, and rain-checks do not apply. * *NATIONAL TEACH A FRIEND TO HOMEBREW DAY * ------------------------------------------------ *On Saturday, November 7th Northern Brewer will be hosting the **Saint Paul Homebrewers Club* <http://www.sphbc.org/>* as they brew a batch of beer in our back parking lot with their big-batch system. Anyone is encouraged to come out and hang out for the brew session, which will be getting started around 10 AM. Award-winning homebrewers, and members of the SPHBC will be on hand to answer questions with regards to the all grain brewing process or any other beer related questions you may have. Feel free to bring samples of your own brews or commercial beers for tasting. Whether you're just getting started, want to learn a little more, or you just want to go hang out and talk beer,this is a great chance to enjoy a pint and hang out for a brew session.* * NEW POLARWARE KETTLES * ------------------------------------------------ *Northern Brewer is excited to carry Polarware's newest addition to their line of brewing kettles. We will now be offering Polarware's eight gallon kettle welded with a half-inch ball valve, perfect for a full-volume wort boil for the five-gallon batch brewer.
