I have made a orange blossom honey with blood oranges it's a good mead, is
it better than with clover honey??

Has anyone ever experimented with matching a varietal honey with the fruit
from the source plant? For example, making a blueberry melomel with
blueberry honey, a raspberry melomel with raspberry honey, etc...?
It's been suggested to me that the fruit would just overwhelm any aromatics
from the varietal honey, which makes me think I should just use clover
honey
for any melomels.
