Unless anyone other than you have gotten a review copy, it doesn't
ship from BA until Oct 1st. And NB just got a review copy yesterday
it looks like.
My copy is a normal copy, not a review copy. It was shipped from the BA
and arrived earlier this week.
I preordered a long time ago. Probably like in January at the Spirit
of Belgium conference where Stan talked about some of this stuff (the
book was only a very early draft back then since he mentions stuff from
the conference in the book).
I finished
going through all but the recipe chapter last night. Lots
of interesting history and current info about the Belgian Ale
producers. Scattered through the discussion of various producers are
some interesting tips and tidbits about the production of the beers.
It triggers thoughts on still more experiments I'll have to conduct
which will result in still more Belgian beers I'll have to drink, what
we do in the name of research in this hobby :-)
I think I need to get into this so-called 'research' thing you're
mentioning.
