Here is a note I sent off to her today:
Sen. Pappas-
Thanks for all your hard work thus far on the omnibus liquor bill,
especially the growler provisions! I just wanted to drop you a line to let
you know that we in the home-brewing community appreciate your efforts, and
can count on us for our support in your future endeavors. Now let's get it
passed by both the house and senate, and on to the Governor!

PS - My wife and I host a house concert series 6 times a year where we host
a folk music performer in our home, and I generally make a batch of home
brew to share with all of our guests. We would be honored to have you join
us sometime if you'd be interested. We have "Small Potatoes", a
husband-wife duo from Chicago here this Saturday, May 17, and the next show
we have scheduled is a backyard concert with Mick Sterling and Kevin Bowe
on September 6.

I am happy to announce that the provision regarding the sale of growlers
has been re-included in the Omnibus Liquor Bill following some debate in
conference committee. Assuming it now passes on the House and Senate
floors and the Governor puts his signature on it, you will be able to
take home fresh, locally produced beer beginning Aug 1.
Thanks for all the support!
If you feel so moved, drop Senator Pappas a quick note of thanks for all
the work she did to get this bill through. Without her help and years of
experience at the Capitol, we would never have gotten this passed. Her
