The attached email from the AHA Tech Talk Forum should make anyone who
helps at a competition feel good! Those of us who helped up in Duluth
get a double dose of good feelings.

Subject: I WON!!!
Hey Everybody,
I just wanted to share the joy with everyone that I won my very first
contest!
http://www.northernalestars.org/greatnorthernbrewhaha.html . I won 1st
place with my Stout!
This is only the second contest I ever entered and I am super amazed
that I won. My American Brown also scored really high on the charts
(actually had a higher score than my stout). Either way, it is great to
know that my biased friends are not the only ones who think my beer is good.
I owe a bunch of this victory to the folks on this forum whose earnest
advice has served me better and better each and every time I brew! For
someone who has been brewing for just over a year and a half, I have
gone from simple extract beers to all grain contest winners.
Thanks Techtalk and thanks to the Northern Ale Stars for my very first
medal!!!!! It will look great in my new Brooklyn Apartment!

PS. I will enter these beers into more contests soon so some lucky judge
out there can be lucky enough to try it!
