With the number of members that you have in the club, you could chip in and
buy a Melvico Counter Pressure Bottler. The bottler could be checked out
along with instructions and cleaning procedures. The people that want to
bottle for competitions or for their own pleasure would have brewery quality
beer. The club or a small group of members could even buy a keg of specialty
beer, bottle it and split all the costs. I own the Melvico and love it. We
buy specialty kegs and bottle them saving ourselves some considerable money.
With the club bottler come headaches but it could be quite an addition to
the club and its members.
Just a thought,
Wayne

Subject: Re: Why do / don't you enter Beer Contests?
I get the impression that one of the main reasons for
not entering is the
bottling hassle. Personally, I prefer bottled beer. I've been doing 10
gallon
batches and bottling half. Most of the time I prefer
the bottled over
kegged.
Vine Park has a nice bottling system. Anybody know the cost of something
like
what they have?
