Hello Mike,
Greetings from Colorado. I spoke with Chris Schiffer today from the
Northern Brewer. Chris said that you and the Minnesota Homebrewers
Association are the largest homebrew club in the area. And I also spoke
with Dave Turbenson at Midwest homebrewing Supplies.
I am arranging the AHA On The Road Tour with Charlie Papazian. Charlie is
planning to be in the Minneapolis/St Paul area on Tuesday, April 2 for an
evening AHA event. At these events, Charlie gives a talk, takes questions
and tastes beer (where allowed) etc. Charlie will also be visiting some
homebrew shops in the afternoon.
Evening events in the past have been a reception type set up at a homebrew
shop, meeting in a brewpub, or some other gathering place. Hors d'oeuvre
and/or dinner have been possibilities in the past, it all depends on the
local homebrew clubs and members.
Would you be the best person to coordinate the local arrangements for this
AHA Tour? I know that there are a few homebrew clubs in the area and we
would want to include all of them, as well as working with all the homebrew
shops.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Mugs Up!
-Mark
