Michael,
Greetings and salutations!
The Oregon Brew Crew cordially invites you to attend the 7th
Annual Fall Classic Homebrew Competition, a fully sanctioned
AHA/BJCP comp, in Portland, Oregon on Saturday, November 10th, 2007.
We are currently looking for judges to volunteer their skills in
judging their choice of the myriad categories that are open. As in
years past, every category in the 2004 BJCP Style Guidelines are
open to entrants, which means you'll probably find something you're
interested in sampling.
As usual, if you are entering something in the competition, not a
problem; you can judge the categories you have no entries in. If you
decide not to judge, we always need stewards and your good company. :)
We've created an online judge registration form located here:

<http://www.1000bottlesofbeer.com/fall_classic_judging.asp?aha=1f6Zm730RjcE0fC31812bR8MGB>
It's fairly self-explanatory. However if you have questions, feel
free to email them to obc-comp(a)oregonbrewcrew.com
<mailto:obc-comp@oregonbrewcrew.com?Subject=AHA%20Fall%20Classic>
and we'll answer them as quickly as possible.
If you are coming from out of town and would like assistance
finding suitable accommodations and local transportation options, we
will be happy to provide that information upon your request. As
well, if you have special needs let us know and we'll be happy to
assist in any way we can.
This year the competition will be held at a brand new brewpub,
opening fairly soon; Hopworks Urban Brewing, located at 2944 SE
Powell Blvd., Portland, OR 97202. Run by Christian Ettinger and Ben
Love, Hopworks will be brewing 100% certified organic beer. They'll
be drawing upon safe and renewable energy resources such as Green
Mountain Power for electricity and using waste oil and biodiesel to
power their kettle burner. The Oregon Brew Crew thanks Christian and
Ben for their gracious gift of precious pub space in which to have
our competition.
So come on out, have some beers, have some comments to say about
those beers, and have a great time! We'd love to see you.
Cheers,
Jeremie Landers
