Thanks Steve! That's reassuring.

for lagering

I've been using my chest freezer off and on for several years for
lagering...haven't run into problems or heard about this before.
Although I have heard that excessive moisture buildup can cause
them to rust out...I dunno...
I have just installed a chest freezer that I want to
convert for a
lagering
fridge. I have a Johnson Controls thermostat that I
plan to use with it,
but I have read recently that running a chest freezer at less than 32 F.
in
that on/off manner would burn out the freezer
prematurely.
What is your experience? Are there other options?
Thanks!
