FYI: Registration for the MN State fair competition opens today and goes through August 1: http://mnstatefair.brewcomp.com/ Judging will be Aug 15-16. Bottle sorting will be Aug 3, time and place TBD. Site opens today but entries cannot be added until Friday the 18th; 750 total entries allowed - enter early as this one always fills up quickly; When you register your account, it will ask you about volunteering - you can modify this later if you need to verify dates/times you can help; Open only to Minnesota residents; Usual local dropoff points: NB in St. Paul and MPLS, Midwest in MPLS If you have not worked a competition before, the fair is good opportunity to see what happens behind the scenes, meet other brewers from the area, and learn some things about judging or beer styles with which you're not familiar. If you have volunteered for competitions before, you know it takes a lot of work and that they could certainly use the help.
