Typically, the conference would start on Thursday and go through
Saturday. The awards banquet is normally Saturday evening with a meal,
beer, beer, ...
During the conference the is a hospitality suite that provides
homebrewed beers during most of the waking hours and a few more. We
have been asked as a club to provide beer for a block of time in the
suite.
For the last few years the 2nd round judging has overlapped some of the
conference sessions. The BOS is normally closed so only the
stewards/judges are there.
Sounds like some sort of pub crawl or the like will be available. More
than enough opportunities to drink beer.

slow down and explain the details before I get too excited
(This is the season for budget and vacation planning)
* I've never been to an AHA conference - what should I expect?
* how many days total (conference is June19-21) including travel days
* does everyone typically get their own rooms for these conferences
(@$99 + taxes) or do they share rooms - probably some of both
* "don't arrive empty-kegged" As a club, how much beer are we
bringing?
* are we stopping/touring/stocking up at New Glarus on the way down or
back?
* judging opportunities - if we go, can we / should we plan on
judging?

The Chicago Beer Society has a preliminary web page up for the 2003
National AHA Conference in Chicago June 19-21. Who's going? Anyone
interested in hiring a club bus? Anyone in the club a bus driver (that
cares to make that trip?)
