I built a kegerator last month for about $100 and it works awesome! The keg and c02 system were about $250. It took me about 2 hours to make it. If you want instructions and parts lists I could probably put that together for you. Maybe its worth trying to build yourself?
They also had keggerators that are about the same size as the one I showed in those pictures at Best Buy in Golden Valley for about $600 earlier today. They were a bit fancier with rails around the edge on the top and a special non-slippery surface.

Why not get a new one, nice and clean and complete with warranty?
They're not that expensive.
www.walmart.com has one for $558 right now
for delivery, or might even be in stock in their larger stores.
