Congratulations and THANKS to Kris for organizing the Ren Fest Stein Beer
demonstration.
Also thanks to all the other participants. I had a great time heating rocks
over hot coals.
Please thank Jenna and the whole Ren Fest organization for letting us do the
demonstration.
For all those who couldn't make it to the festival, an Alt beer was mashed
and boiled using the stein beer technique of heating rocks to white hot over
an open fire, then dropping the hot rocks into the brewing vessel. It takes
a lot of hot rocks to boil a beer but the aroma was wonderful and we did
draw an audience.
