I have contact NBB about expanding to MN, nothing yet but their getting
closer. You have to travel to Omaha to get some.

I wonder if your friend was pulling that person's leg.
New Belgium Brewing makes Fat Tire.

As far as I know, it is one of their best-selling beers and is
actually pretty good, but the brewery is also known for making even
better beer. Many New Belgium devotees kind of turn up a nose at Fat
Tire, saying that it's all right but certainly not the best that NBB
has to offer (that last comment is kind of hearsay and is perhaps not
entirely true).
It is not available in Mpls or the midwest. It used to be, I hear,
but currently is not. I have purchased New Belgium beer in Montana,
Oregon, and Colorado.
It should have been almost impossible to miss while in Colorado.
hope that helps,
Don

A friend of mine just got back from a business trip to Denver. One of
his collegues was looking for a beer called "Fat Tire". My friend
told this person that he could probably get it for her in MPLS. He
Tried Blue Max and Surdyks without success. Any of you beer
detectives out there ever see this one? I don't have any info on
brewery or even style. My guess is that it was discontinued.
