Hi Mike, Sounds great. If you had to put this into a category I would
think it would go into Mixed Mead - Braggot with grape and saffron (did the
saffron come thru - if not leave that off)
Of course this would only matter if it was being entered in a competition -
Some brews are just meant to be enjoyed for themselves and really don't need
a category.
Where did you buy this. I am passing thru the cities on Thursday night and
so might try to pick some up if it is still available.
Thanks,
Susan

Subject: What is it?
: Greetings,
: I sampled an entire bottle of "Midas Touch" from the Dogfish Head brewery
this weekend. The label says barley, honey, white muscat grapes, and
saffron. It had some sediment in the bottom of the 750ml bottle.
: Excellent blend of malt, honey, and grapes, with none of the three
dominating. Mildly sweet with just enough bitterness to balance very
nicely. It is hard to say if this is beer or a mead. I picked it up at
Winestreets in west Bloomington and plan on a few more for the cellar.
