Fellow Homebrewers,
Each year, homebrewers in the neighborhood and around the world invite
family and friends to their brewing site on the first Saturday in May
to celebrate National Homebrew Day. Everyone is encouraged to help out
with the brew, enjoy the fun and join in on a world-wide toast at noon
Central time.
In 1988, Congress declared May 7th National Homebrew Day. The American
Homebrewers Association created Big Brew as an annual event to
celebrate National Homebrew Day around the world. Homebrewing has been
practiced in America since the Pilgrims landed at Plymouth Rock. Today
there are an estimated 750,000 homebrewers in the United States.
Homebrewers are passionate about brewing beer and love to share that
passion with others.
Join us for National Homebrew Day this Saturday, May 7th. Festivities
will be held in our parking lot at the rear of our store. This event
is weather permitting. Bring some friends, grab your homebrews to
share and kick back with fellow homebrewers.
Our staff will be on-site with brewing demonstrations through out the
day, starting at 10am and wrapping up around 4pm.
