One thing to consider if you are not an AHA member, you will have to purchase a membership to attend the National Homebrewers Conference next June in Bloomington, MN.  So if you want to get your money's worth you can attend the rally and get discounted tickets next June which will more than make up for the $33.  You will also receive Zymurgy magazine and get discounts at places like Rockbottom and Old Chicago.
Just a few more reasons to become a member.
